The SHERO Awards event on October 15, 2007 was a smashing success and we raised over $60,000 to fund scholarships as part of the SHERO Scholarship program.

We are gratefully continuing to accept donations - thank you for your consideration! As a donor to the SHERO Scholarship Fund, 100% of your contribution is tax deductible and goes directly to fund scholarships for female high school graduates attending Maryland institutions.

You have an opportunity to donate "In Honor" and "In Memory" of a woman or the many women who embody the spirit of a SHERO - women who work tirelessly to give of their time, talent and treasure to make the world a better place.

United Way of Central Maryland, one of the sponsoring organizations, collected the funds, and will pay the costs of the event, and distribute the net proceeds to the CollegeBound Foundation, a local 501(c)(3) organization, which is using the funds to award the SHERO scholarships to eligible young women.
